At last! Lake Balaton water above 20°C ☀️

By the end of the long weekend Lake Balaton's water exceeded 20°C at several stretches, and life already picked up in lakeside towns. ☀️ Many could not resist and jumped into the pleasantly warmed water on Friday afternoon or Saturday around Siófok, Balatonfüred and Keszthely.

According to weather data, temperature rose especially fast in shallower bays and sheltered parts of the southern shore. This delighted not only weekend guests but also local beach operators and hospitality: many opened early and sun loungers at the most popular spots were full by Saturday morning.

Water above 20°C is always a turning point for Balaton tourism. Locals say short weekend trips surge at this point, while those planning longer holidays watch temperature trends with confidence. Early swimmers already appeared on cycle paths and promenades, enjoying sunset from the shore.
