Somogytúr crash: car in the barrier! 🚗💥

Accident on the main road of the southern shore of Balaton: At Somogytúr, at the 81st kilometer of the main road 67, a car drove into a barrier, which immediately disrupted the traffic around the lake. This road is a vital connection between Balatonlelle and Balatonboglár, so it mostly affects the travel of vacationers and locals. 🚗💥

Volunteer firefighters from Látrány quickly arrived on the scene and disconnected the vehicle to prevent further risks. An ambulance was also called to the two passengers of the car, who attended to them. Due to the accident, the affected section of the main road was closed in both directions until the scattered debris was removed, causing congestion towards the south coast.

On the southern side of Lake Balaton, where the beach season is at its peak, this closure means a serious disruption: families and water sports enthusiasts trying to reach the settlements around Balatonboglár and Fonyód are forced to take detours. For local people who use this road on a daily basis to go to work or go shopping, it causes extra time and stress.
