Shock in Óhíd: A Garage in Flames 🔥

In Óhíd, located near the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in the catchment area of Keszthely, a garage fire on Petőfi Street caused serious alarm. In the approximately twenty square meter building, the stored lawnmower tractor and hand tools caught fire, while the family managed to rescue the vehicle parked in the garage in time.

Thanks to the rapid intervention of the Zalaszentgrót municipal and Keszthely professional firefighters, the flames were extinguished with water jets before the fire could spread to the neighboring family house. The units also found three burst cylinders at the scene, which further complicated the extinguishing.

It is reassuring for the locals that thanks to the routine action of the Keszthely firefighters, no major damage occurred. The incident clearly shows how important the close cooperation between the settlements around Lake Balaton is in the rapid handling of emergencies 🔥.
