A holiday home caught fire in Balatonőszöd 🔥

On the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in the outskirts of Balatonőszöd, a serious fire shook the owners of weekend houses. The property of about thirty square meters located near the M7 motorway caught fire completely, and by the time help arrived, it was already beyond saving.

The professional firefighters from Siófok, the municipal unit from Balatonboglár and the volunteers from Balatonföldvár jointly went to the scene. With several water jets and hand tools, they quickly contained the fire, while the Siófok water supply vehicle provided continuous replenishment. Thanks to the coordinated work of the local forces, the flames did not spread further to the surrounding holiday homes.
