Power Outages at Lake Balaton in October: Which Settlements Will Be Left in the Dark? ⚡

For residents in the settlements around Lake Balaton, it is always important to be informed in time about changes related to electricity supply. According to E.ON's information, in October 2026 temporary power outages are to be expected in the region due to network reconstruction works, which directly affect the daily lives of local residents.

October 7–8, from Wednesday to Thursday between 8:00 and 16:00, power supply will be interrupted in the following locations: Halacs köz, Halacs-Birs köz, Halacs-Erdőalja út 10, as well as the properties marked HRSZ:081 and HRSZ:082, and Hóvirág utca. The aim of the works is to modernize the electrical energy network, which will provide more reliable service to the Lake Balaton communities in the long term ⚡.

The planned power outage primarily affects households and smaller local businesses. It is advisable to prepare in advance: store the contents of refrigerators in a protected place and prepare alternative lighting solutions.
