What Lies Behind Eleven Sour Creams and a Ping Pong Paddle at Lake Balaton?

One of the biggest challenges of vacations by Lake Balaton is organizing larger shopping trips, especially when you need to supply an entire house with fresh food and grill ingredients. According to this year's data from Kifli.hu, Balaton guests are increasingly happy to entrust this task to couriers, saving time and energy for relaxation.

The service will deliver to 125 Balaton and Balaton Uplands settlements year-round by the end of this season, so holidaymakers from Tihany to Balatonkenese can rely on home delivery. Among the most popular products were watermelon, beer multipacks, grill cheeses and ice creams, but many also ordered cucumbers, tomatoes and mineral water in larger quantities.

Extreme orders also arrived: a guest from Tihany, for example, requested an 8.5 kg watermelon, while a 515-item shopping trip came in from Balatonkenese, including 25 kg of chicken breast fillet, 11 buckets of sour cream and 15 packs of hot dogs. These numbers show that Balaton holidaymakers often order at once to supply entire houses or larger groups.

The online supermarket delivered more than 700 tons of goods to the region during the summer months, and it does not disappear from Lake Balaton after the season either. This is particularly good news for locals and autumn-winter weekenders, who can thus count on fast delivery in the region all year round.
