Drama in Tapolca: A Garage on Fire Next to Lake Balaton 🔥

In Tapolca near Lake Balaton, on Babits Mihály Street, a serious fire is underway: a sixty-square-meter outbuilding used as a garage is ablaze. Particularly concerning for the local community is that the flames have also reached the beehives placed in the attic space, so animal protection considerations must also be taken into account during the extinguishing.

The municipal firefighters from Tapolca and the professional firefighters from Badacsonytomaj are working with four water jets to contain the fire. The units have already prevented the flames from spreading further, and during the intervention, a gas cylinder was also successfully removed from the building, reducing the risk of explosion.

In the Balaton region, such incidents quickly affect the residents of the surrounding settlements, which is why the rapid and coordinated action of the local firefighters is particularly important. The work of the Badacsonytomaj and Tapolca units now also guarantees that the fire does not cause greater damage to the community.
