Handball team fights back from minus seven in Serbia 🏐

On the northern Balaton shore, especially around Veszprém, everyone is talking about the weekend handball showdown. After a two-goal loss in Serbia, the men's national team must win by three at home in the World Championship qualifier – and Balaton-area fans know the match could energise regional sport life.

In the first leg in Niš, goalkeeper Kristóf Palasics kept hopes alive with key saves late on, but the deficit is minus two. Sunday's return in Veszprém Arena therefore needs a convincing home win. Many plan trips from Balatonfüred, Tihany or Keszthely for local pride and the tourism boost success could bring in spring and summer.
