A flaming car terrified Kőröshegy! 🔥

A fire broke out on road 6505 in Kőröshegy, in the busy traffic of the southern shore of Lake Balaton, which is a key connection between Balatonföldvár and the surrounding settlements. This accident immediately paralyzed local traffic, affecting beachgoers, vacationers and everyday commuters around the lake. 🚒

Despite the quick intervention of the firefighters, the car was completely destroyed. The professional unit from Siófok and the volunteer firefighters from Balatonföldvár stopped the flames with two water jets, while the entire width of the affected road section was closed. Fortunately, no one was injured, but due to smoke and debris removal, traffic may be delayed for several hours.

Kőröshegy, this picturesque village of Somogy lies at the gate of Lake Balaton, where road 6505 transports thousands of people daily to Siófok, Balatonföldvár and the beaches of the southern coast.
