Kesz Group Balatonfondo 2026: Balaton Cycling Challenge!

One of the most exciting spring sporting events at the Balaton is the Kesz Group Balatonfondo 2026, held on 1 May 2026. The popular gran fondo is a perfect season opener on a public holiday in beautiful spring surroundings for cycling enthusiasts.

Balatonfondo isn't a traditional race but a community challenge and experience tour. Participants choose from several distances so beginners and experienced cyclists alike find their level. Routes lead along the Balaton's finest sections: lakeside bike paths, vineyard hills and picturesque villages with the lake view always present.

Why take part? On May Day the Balaton isn't yet in summer crowds but fresh, green and lively. Blossoming trees, pleasant temperature and breeze from the lake create a special mood. It's also a great chance to meet the Balaton region's active community who love this lake as much as we locals do.
