Dramatic fall on Zalakaros: Car in the ditch! 🚗💥

A traffic accident occurred in Zalakaros in the southern part of the Balaton region on Tuesday evening, which may affect the traffic of vacationers and locals on the routes leading to the spa town. On the Main road of Zalakaros, near Rákóczi utca, a car veered off the road and slid into a ditch 🚗⚠️.

Zalakaros volunteer firefighters quickly intervened and successfully pulled the vehicle out of the ditch. No injuries were reported during the technical rescue, so the accident was limited to material damage. Zalakaros, as a popular spa resort near Lake Balaton - only half an hour's drive from Keszthely - attracts lakeside tourists to relax. Many Balaton vacationers come here for the thermal waters, especially during the beach season.

What happened is a reminder of the winding roads in the region: the risk increases in case of wet weather or carelessness. For locals, this may mean a daily commute to Keszthely or the Balaton coast, while it may affect the route of tourists.
