Dramatic rollover on Balaton route 77! 🚗💥

An accident complicating traffic on the Balaton Uplands occurred in Nagyvázsony, on the built-up section of route 77, just a few kilometres from the lake's northern shore. This road is key for holidaymakers heading to Balatonfüred and other lakeside towns, and for locals travelling towards Veszprém. Weekday traffic and summer tourism may both be affected. 🚗💥

Professional firefighters from Veszprém quickly de-energised the overturned car near km 18. A rescue helicopter also arrived, signalling the severity. Traffic is currently alternating under control on the affected stretch, which may cause tailbacks on routes towards the Balaton.

For local communities, including Nagyvázsony residents and nearby lakeside villages such as Vászoly or Öcs, this is a double blow: rescue work slows progress, and dense upland roads make finding alternatives difficult.
