Dramatic rollover between Veszprém and Felsőörs! 🚗💥

A serious traffic accident occurred on road 7219 between Veszprém and Felsőörs leading to the northern shore of Lake Balaton on Tuesday, which could significantly affect the traffic of vacationers and locals around the lake. 🚗 A passenger car overturned on the side of a road section that is key for guests rushing to the beaches and campsites in Felsőőrs, as well as for families going on excursions to Veszprém, causing a half-track restriction during the Balaton peak season. ⚠️

The accident happened between the 8th and 9th kilometer section. The professional firefighters from Veszprém quickly intervened and freed a person from the wreckage, who was taken to the ambulance for treatment. At the moment, the traffic is moving at a half-track, so those who are heading to the upland settlements of Balaton, such as Csopak or Balatonfüred, from Veszprém can expect congestion.

For the local communities, this is a double blow: on the one hand, concern for the injured, and on the other hand, the obstruction of summer beach transport. For Balaton vacationers, it is recommended to find detours, for example in the direction of highway 71, to avoid the traffic jam on the Felsőőrs access road.
