Kesz Group Balatonfondo 2026: Spring challenge around the lake

On 1 May 2026 one of the Balaton's most popular sporting events starts again: the Kesz Group Balatonfondo. Timed for the first day of spring, this cycling challenge is tradition among lake lovers who want not just to sport but celebrate around the shore.

Balatonfondo is a true gran fondo experience: participants choose from several distances and ride through stunning Balaton Uplands landscapes, waterfront sections, vineyards and lavender fields. On May Day the Balaton isn't in summer crowds but offers fresh green canopy, clean air and quiet mornings for athletes.

Why take part? Because it's not just sport. Balatonfondo is also a community celebration where locals and visitors ride together, sharing the lake's magic. Fresh spring air, Balaton hospitality, cycling company and that special feeling from cool morning shore to afternoon sun on water – experiences found only here.

With Kesz Group support the event promises professional organisation, marked routes, feed stations and safe execution for first-time fondo riders too.
